The VALUE COLLECTION A98133 is a 10-24 x 3/4 inch button head machine screw with a Pin-In Torx drive, manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a bright uncoated finish. The button head profile provides a low-profile, rounded top surface suited for applications where clearance is a concern. The Pin-In Torx drive requires a matching Torx Plus bit with a center pin, which provides tamper-resistance in controlled-access assemblies. Thread is Unified National Coarse (UNC), 10-24, measured from under the head. This screw is sold in a package of 50 and is appropriate for maintenance, mechanical assembly, and light fabrication work performed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and general trade professionals.
This fastener is suited for light-duty mechanical and enclosure assembly in both residential and commercial settings. Common applications include panel enclosures, equipment covers, junction box hardware, and general-purpose fastening where corrosion resistance is a requirement. The 18-8 stainless steel construction makes this screw appropriate for mildly corrosive environments or installations where zinc-plated hardware is not acceptable. The Pin-In Torx drive adds a layer of tamper deterrence useful in public-access or service-only equipment enclosures.
Designed as a general-purpose 10-24 UNC machine screw for use in any application requiring a button head Pin-In Torx fastener in 18-8 stainless steel at 3/4 inch length under head.
A Pin-In Torx driver bit with the appropriate center-pin clearance is required for installation and removal. Power down or de-energize any electrical enclosure or equipment before fastening or removing hardware on live panels, in accordance with applicable NFPA 70 lockout procedures. Do not overtighten into thin sheet metal or thermoplastic enclosures, as button head screws have lower drive torque capacity than hex head styles. Use a calibrated torque driver when the assembly specification calls for a defined clamp load.
