The VALUE COLLECTION 95624 is a 1/4-20 button socket cap screw designed for secure, low-profile fastening in structural and mechanical assemblies. The button head style provides a rounded, finished appearance while keeping the fastener profile close to the work surface. Driven by a 5/32-inch hex socket, it delivers reliable torque transfer without exposed drive recesses that can collect debris. Constructed from 316 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this screw resists corrosion in marine, chemical, and outdoor environments. The fully threaded 3-inch shank meets ANSI/ASME B18.3 and carries a Class 3A thread fit for consistent engagement. Sold in a pack of 10.
This fastener is suited for applications where corrosion resistance and a low-profile head are both required. Common installations include marine hardware, food-processing equipment, chemical-handling fixtures, and outdoor structural assemblies. The UNC thread form makes it compatible with standard tapped holes and nuts throughout general industrial and commercial construction. Mechanical contractors, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working in corrosive or wet environments regularly spec 316 stainless hardware for long-term fastener integrity.
Designed as a standard UNC 1/4-20 button socket cap screw suitable for use with any 1/4-20 tapped hole or compatible nut conforming to ANSI/ASME B18.3 specifications.
Install and remove using a 5/32-inch hex key or socket driver; worn or undersized drivers can strip the socket recess and should be replaced before use. Ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before threading to avoid cross-threading or galling, which is common with stainless fasteners. Apply an anti-seize compound rated for stainless steel if the fastener will be subject to repeated removal or high-temperature exposure. Follow applicable ANSI/ASME torque guidelines for the fastener size and material.
