It accepts cutting tools from 1/4 inch up to 5/8 inch, with a maximum cutting tool size of 5/8 inch and a 1/2-inch shank size. The holder measures 1.75 inches in overall height and 3.15 inches in overall length, with a centerline height of 1.125 inches. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on engine lathes and toolroom lathes as a quick-change tool post component, providing repeatable tool positioning during boring, turning, and facing operations.

This holder fits lathes in the 10-to-15-inch swing class, which covers a wide range of bench and floor-model engine lathes commonly found in job shops, maintenance facilities, and vocational training environments. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before mounting or removing any tool post holder, the lathe spindle must be stopped completely and the machine placed in a safe, locked-out state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. The holder should be seated fully in the quick-change tool post and the locking cam or screw tightened firmly before operation. Tool tip height should be verified against spindle centerline using a height gauge or reference bar before taking a cut.
