The VALUE COLLECTION 94651 is a 4-40 x 1/4 inch pan head Phillips machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. The 4-40 thread designation follows Unified National Coarse (UNC) standards, making this a compact, fine-tolerance fastener suited for light-duty mechanical assemblies. Each screw measures 1/4 inch under the head and is supplied without a washer. The 18-8 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance in moderate environments. This package contains 50 pieces, making it practical for shop stock, service kits, or small-volume production runs. Installers across electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical trades keep these on hand for panel work, equipment enclosures, and component mounting.
These screws are used wherever a 4-40 UNC thread pattern is called out in equipment assembly or field service. Common applications include mounting small PCBs, securing terminal covers, fastening light sheet metal panels, and general hardware replacement in commercial and residential equipment enclosures. The pan head profile sits low and distributes clamping load across the fastener seat, which is well suited to thin material and plastic housings. Phillips drive allows use with standard hand drivers and power tools with appropriate bit control.
Designed as a standard 4-40 UNC machine screw for use in any application specifying a 4-40 thread, pan head style, and Phillips drive in stainless steel.
Installation requires a Phillips screwdriver or power driver with a properly sized bit to avoid cam-out on the small drive recess. De-energize any electrical equipment and follow applicable NEC or equipment-specific lockout-tagout procedures before fastening screws in or near live panels. Avoid over-torquing, as small-diameter stainless fasteners can gall or seize in threaded metal when driven with excessive force. Apply thread lubricant or anti-seize compound if fastening into stainless or aluminum mating threads to reduce the risk of galling.
