The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-235 is a cobalt ball end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. With a 0.0600-inch cutting diameter and a 0.0900-inch length of cut, this stub-length end mill is built for tight-tolerance work in confined geometries. The 2-flute design promotes chip evacuation and cutting efficiency, while the variable helix angle of 35 to 40 degrees helps reduce chatter and vibration during both roughing and finishing passes. The bright, uncoated surface finish keeps the tool ready for use straight out of the package. Machinists and tool and die professionals install this type of end mill on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills for high-accuracy profiling and contouring work.
This end mill is suited for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The stub length format and 0.1875-inch straight-cylindrical shank make it well matched to close-clearance setups where overhang must be minimized to maintain rigidity. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling operations. The overall length of 1.5000 inches keeps the tool compact for maximum setup stability.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard straight-shank collet and end mill holders accepting a 0.1875-inch shank diameter, commonly used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Install and remove end mills with the machine spindle fully powered down and locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the retention hardware. Inspect the collet bore and shank for chips or debris before installation, as contamination causes runout and premature tool wear. At this small diameter, minimize overhang and use the lowest viable depth of cut to prevent tool deflection or breakage.
