The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-023 is a cobalt square end mill designed for precision milling in small-diameter applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat resistance and edge retention when cutting tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The mill measures 0.0313 inches in diameter with a 0.0469-inch length of cut and a 0.1875-inch straight shank. Overall length is 2 inches. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life and reducing cost per cut. With two spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it promotes efficient chip evacuation in shallow, precise cuts. The bright uncoated finish suits general-purpose applications where coating is not required.
This end mill is suited for light-duty milling operations where small feature sizes and tight tolerances are required. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and contouring in tool rooms, job shops, and production environments. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving machinists flexibility when starting cuts in open or closed pockets. The stub length configuration provides added rigidity, which is especially valuable at this diameter to minimize deflection and breakage. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow standard CNC and manual milling machine setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard 3/16-inch straight-shank collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and similar milling equipment.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the listed length of cut range. At this diameter, feed rates and spindle speeds should be set conservatively to prevent tool breakage.
