The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-017 is a double-end cobalt ball end mill designed for milling operations across a wide range of metallic workpiece materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers added heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) cutting diameter and 21/64 inch (0.3281 inch) length of cut make it well suited for profiling, contouring, and slotting in tight-tolerance applications. With a 35-40 degree variable helix and center-cutting geometry, it handles both roughing and finishing passes without a tool change. Machinists and toolroom operators select this end mill for its dual-end economy and compatibility with a broad workpiece material range.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling machines operating in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. Its double-end configuration extends usable tool life by providing a second cutting end when the first is worn. The 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Designed as a standard Series 541 replacement or direct-use ball end mill for operations requiring a 7/64 inch diameter, 3/16 inch shank, double-end cobalt tool in fractional inch tooling systems.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or clamping mechanism according to the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Inspect both cutting ends for chipping or wear before use, and replace the tool when runout or surface finish degrades beyond acceptable tolerance.
