The VALUE COLLECTION 842-0062 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 1/16 inch cutting diameter and a 3/32 inch length of cut. The stub-length body keeps the tool rigid during light-duty slotting, profiling, and contouring cuts. With two spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, the cutter evacuates chips efficiently while maintaining a clean edge finish. This tool is centercutting, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. It is sized and configured for use by machinists and toolmakers on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for small-detail milling applications where a compact cutting diameter is required. Its double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life between changes. The straight shank at 3/16 inch diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders used in vertical milling setups. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard configurations compatible with conventional milling machine spindle rotation. Typical applications include slot milling, edge profiling, and pocket milling in aluminum, mild steel, brass, and similar machinable materials at appropriate feeds and speeds for HSS tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/16 inch straight shank end mill holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet or holder bore matches the 3/16 inch shank diameter before tightening to avoid runout. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut depth to prevent premature wear or tool breakage.
