The VALUE COLLECTION 839-101 is a Schedule 80 PVC pipe bushing used to reduce a 3/4-inch female threaded port down to a 1/2-inch male threaded connection. End connections are MIPT (male iron pipe thread) on the 1/2-inch end and FIPT (female iron pipe thread) on the 3/4-inch end. PVC construction makes this bushing well suited for corrosive-fluid and chemical-handling systems where metal fittings would degrade. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure tolerance compared to Schedule 40.
