The VALUE COLLECTION 83100053 is a helical power tube brush designed for internal bore cleaning, deburring, and surface finishing of tubes, pipes, and cylindrical workpieces. It uses stainless steel fill material combined with an aluminum oxide abrasive at 600 grit super fine grade, making it suited for light finishing and polishing passes inside bores where a smooth surface finish is required. The double spiral construction distributes abrasive contact evenly around the bore wall. The threaded male shank measures 3/8 inches in diameter with a 5/16-18 thread pattern for secure chuck or mandrel attachment. Installation and use are typically performed by machinists, pipefitters, or maintenance technicians working on metallic tubing and pipe assemblies.
This brush is appropriate for use in light industrial maintenance, fabrication shops, and field service applications where internal tube or pipe surfaces require finishing or light material removal. The 600 grit super fine rating makes it suitable for final-pass finishing rather than aggressive stock removal. It is used with power tools such as electric or pneumatic drills and rotary tools that accept a threaded 5/16-18 mandrel. It is sold as a single unit and is well suited for spot maintenance tasks and precision tube finishing work.
Designed as a replacement or general-use helical tube brush for power tools and rotary equipment accepting a 5/16-18 threaded male shank with a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by threading the brush shank into a compatible mandrel or directly into the tool chuck per the tool manufacturer instructions. Ensure the power tool is fully powered off and any pneumatic supply is isolated before mounting or removing the brush. Operate at speeds within the brush and tool manufacturer recommended RPM range to prevent fill material fatigue or shank damage. Eye protection and appropriate hand protection should be worn during use in accordance with applicable shop safety standards.
