The VALUE COLLECTION 825158MSC is a serrated flange bolt designed for secure, vibration-resistant fastening in structural and mechanical assemblies. The serrated flange distributes clamping load across a wider bearing surface while the serrations bite into the mating material to resist loosening under dynamic loads. The bolt is fully threaded at 1/2-13 UNC with a length under head of 1-3/4 inches, a flange diameter of 1.07 inches, and is manufactured from Grade 5 steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance. It is installed using a standard hex drive and is suited for use by mechanics, millwrights, pipefitters, and general trade professionals working on equipment assemblies and structural connections.
This bolt is commonly used in residential and commercial mechanical installations where a built-in flange eliminates the need for a separate washer and where vibration resistance is a priority. Typical applications include equipment mounting, HVAC unit frame assembly, pump and motor bases, and general industrial or trade fastening tasks. The fully threaded shank allows engagement along the entire length of the bolt for short-grip applications.
Designed as a standard 1/2-13 UNC serrated flange bolt suitable for use in any application requiring a Grade 5 fully threaded hex flange fastener conforming to ASME B18.6.3 and SAE J429 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic, millwright, or trade professional using a standard hex wrench or socket driver sized for a 1/2-13 UNC hex flange bolt. De-energize and lock out all equipment before fastener installation or replacement per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Do not exceed the torque specifications established for Grade 5 fasteners of this thread size as published in applicable engineering references. Inspect the mating threads and bearing surface for damage before installation.
