The VALUE COLLECTION 815224PS is a metric hex head cap screw designed for fastening applications that require precise thread engagement and consistent clamping force. Sized at M14 x 1.50 with a 50 mm length under head, this screw is fully threaded and manufactured from Grade 8.8 steel. Grade 8.8 designates a medium-high strength carbon steel fastener with a minimum tensile strength of 800 MPa, making it suitable for structural and mechanical assemblies. A zinc-plated finish provides baseline corrosion resistance in light-duty environments. The 22 mm hex drive allows installation with standard metric tooling. It conforms to DIN 961 and ISO 8676 standards, confirming thread form and dimensional tolerances.
This fastener is used across a broad range of trade and industrial applications including HVAC equipment mounting, mechanical equipment frames, plumbing fixture support structures, electrical enclosure assembly, and general fabrication work. The fine 1.50 mm thread pitch is preferred in applications where vibration resistance or precise torque control is critical, such as automotive, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment maintenance. Machinists, millwrights, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics commonly use this fastener size in both new assembly and repair work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard metric fastener for equipment and assemblies specifying an M14 x 1.50 fine-thread hex head cap screw per DIN 961 or ISO 8676.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic, millwright, or technician familiar with metric fastener torque specifications for Grade 8.8 hardware. De-energize and lock out all equipment before replacing or installing fasteners in live assemblies. Use a calibrated torque wrench and refer to the equipment manufacturer torque specification for M14 Grade 8.8 fasteners. Do not substitute a coarse-thread fastener in a fine-thread bore, as this will damage the receiving threads.
