The VALUE COLLECTION 741066PS is an M4 external tooth lock washer designed to resist loosening under vibration and dynamic loads. Stamped from Grade 2 spring steel and finished with a zinc plating for corrosion resistance, this washer bites into the bearing surface of the fastener and mating material as the joint is torqued. The serrated outer teeth provide positive locking action without requiring thread-locking compounds. With a 4.3mm inside diameter, 8mm outside diameter, and 0.5mm thickness, the washer seats cleanly under an M4 screw head or nut. Electricians, HVAC techs, and mechanical contractors use external tooth lock washers in panel assemblies, equipment enclosures, and structural fastening applications.
This washer is suited for light-duty mechanical and electrical assembly work where vibration resistance is required at the M4 fastener size. Typical applications include control panel fabrication, enclosure assembly, motor mounting hardware, and general equipment fastening in both residential and commercial settings. The zinc finish provides adequate corrosion protection for indoor and mildly humid environments. These are sold as individual washers with a minimum order quantity of 200 pieces, making them appropriate for production assembly, service van stocking, or maintenance department inventory.
Designed for use with M4 screws and nuts as an OEM-style external tooth lock washer in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment assemblies.
Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors typically install external tooth lock washers during panel or equipment assembly. Always de-energize and lock out electrical equipment before working in enclosures, in accordance with applicable NFPA 70 and OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Place the washer between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface with the teeth facing the fastener bearing surface. Do not reuse lock washers that have been fully compressed, as the spring action will not be restored.
