The VALUE COLLECTION 724-6463 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a TiN coating, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials while retaining edge hardness under heat. The 0.5 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 2.0 inch length of cut, making it suited for slotting, profiling, and roughing passes where chip load and tool life matter. Three flutes with a high-helix, right-hand spiral geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce chatter. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This roughing end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling machines, machining centers, and CNC equipment for roughing operations on steel, stainless, and hard alloys. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its utility across a range of roughing and slotting applications in job-shop and production environments alike. Its 0.5 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found in both manual and CNC setups.

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder specification before use. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use. Right-hand spindle rotation is required to match the cutting direction of this tool.
