The VALUE COLLECTION 724-5062 is a single-end roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal and finish-quality passes in one tool. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN), it delivers increased hardness and heat resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The 11/32-inch (0.3438-inch decimal) diameter combined with a 30-degree helix and 3 right-hand flutes produces efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The Weldon flat shank resists slippage in the holder during demanding cuts. This end mill is suited for machinists and toolmakers working on milling machines and machining centers in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is intended for right-hand cutting applications requiring a square end profile. The 11/32-inch diameter and 3/4-inch length of cut make it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, stainless, and harder alloy materials where cobalt tooling is preferred over standard HSS. The 2-1/2-inch overall length and 3/8-inch shank diameter fit standard tool holders with a Weldon flat socket. This is a non-centercutting design and should not be plunged directly into solid material. It is packaged as a single unit.
Designed for use in standard milling machine and machining center tool holders accepting a 3/8-inch Weldon flat shank. Non-centercutting — not suitable for direct plunge entry into solid material.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tool holder manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before securing the end mill. Tighten set screws against the Weldon flat to the tool holder specification to prevent axial or radial movement during cutting. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before operation.
