The VALUE COLLECTION 724-4230 is a single-end, 6-flute roughing finishing end mill designed for material removal and surface finishing in a single tool. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it handles tough ferrous metals and work-hardening alloys where carbide is prone to chipping. The 1-inch cutting diameter, 1.125-inch length of cut, and 30-degree helix angle combine to deliver aggressive chip evacuation while maintaining a finish-quality surface. This tool is suited for machinists and toolroom operators running knee mills, manual or CNC vertical machining centers, and similar equipment.

This end mill is intended for applications requiring both roughing and finishing passes without a tool change. The 6-flute configuration increases feed rates compared to standard 4-flute designs while the chipbreaker-free, square-end geometry produces a flat bottom in pockets, slots, and profiling cuts. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle configurations on conventional and CNC milling machines.
