The VALUE COLLECTION 724-2077 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this 4-flute tool measures 0.375 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length. The roughing profile allows for higher feed rates and deeper cuts compared to standard end mills, making it a practical choice for roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is installed and used by machinists and tooling professionals in manual and CNC milling operations.
This end mill is suited for roughing operations in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance machining environments. The 3/8-inch shank diameter matches the 3/8-inch mill diameter, allowing direct chuck or collet mounting without an adapter. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional milling setups. The non-centercutting geometry means this tool is intended for side milling and peripheral cuts rather than plunge entry.
Designed for use in standard milling machines and CNC machining centers that accept a 3/8-inch shank end mill via collet, end mill holder, or equivalent toolholder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or toolholder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm cutting direction matches the spindle rotation before starting the cut.
