The VALUE COLLECTION 724-1071 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it handles ferrous metals, stainless steel, and other tough materials where standard HSS tools wear prematurely. The cutter measures 3/8 inches in diameter with a 4-flute, right-hand cutting and flute configuration. It is center-cutting, allowing for plunge entry as well as peripheral cutting. The 7/16-inch length of cut and 2-3/16-inch overall length make it suited for shallow-to-moderate depth roughing passes on production and job-shop machining equipment.

This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where roughing passes precede finishing operations.
