The VALUE COLLECTION 724-1008 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, this tool handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials with good heat resistance and edge retention. The 3/16 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute geometry produce a characteristic corncob profile that breaks chips into smaller segments, reducing cutting forces and heat buildup during heavy roughing passes. It is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running manual mills or CNC machining centers.

This end mill is applied in roughing operations where stock removal rate matters more than surface finish. The 1/2 inch length of cut and 3/8 inch shank diameter make it practical for shallow-to-medium-depth slots, pockets, and profile cuts in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials.
