The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6724 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it carries a TiN coating to extend tool life and reduce heat buildup during cutting. The cutter measures 0.375 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 3.188-inch overall length. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction deliver efficient chip evacuation. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in shop environments.
This roughing end mill suits applications where rapid stock removal is the priority before a finish pass. The M42 cobalt construction handles harder workpiece materials better than standard M2 HSS. The TiN coating reduces friction and increases surface hardness at the cutting edge. At 0.375 inches, both the mill diameter and shank diameter match, allowing direct chuck or collet holding in standard 3/8-inch tooling setups. Typical use cases include slotting, side milling, and profiling on manual or CNC vertical mills.
Designed as a standard 3/8-inch shank roughing end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling machine spindles accepting 3/8-inch straight-shank tooling.
A qualified machinist should install this end mill. Secure the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before use. Do not use this non-centercutting end mill for direct plunge cuts into solid material.
