The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6684 is a 4-piece corner rounding end mill set manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel. Each tool is ground to a single-end, 4-flute configuration with a bright uncoated finish. The set covers four common mill diameters — 1/2 inch, 9/16 inch, 5/8 inch, and 3/4 inch — all sharing a 3/4-inch shank diameter. Corner rounding end mills produce a consistent radius edge on workpiece corners without requiring a separate deburring or filing operation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install these on vertical mills and CNC machining centers for edge finishing on steel, stainless, and other ferrous alloys where M42 cobalt tooling is appropriate.
This set is suited to job shops, maintenance machining operations, and toolrooms that need a range of corner rounding sizes on hand without sourcing individual cutters. The four mill diameters address a broad span of edge-radius requirements on ferrous and harder workpiece materials. Each cutter seats in a 3/4-inch collet or end mill holder. The included wood stand keeps the set organized and protects cutting edges when not in use, reducing dulling from contact storage. Typical applications include edge prep on mold components, fixture plates, and machined mechanical parts.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling machine spindles accepting a 3/4-inch shank. Suitable for vertical mills and CNC machining centers running ferrous and similar hard workpiece materials where M42 cobalt tooling is specified.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using a standard end mill holder or collet rated for a 3/4-inch shank. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing cutters. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating each cutter to confirm proper grip. Corner rounding end mills should not be used as side-milling or slotting tools — they are intended solely for edge-radius operations.
