The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6492 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on metal workpieces. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it handles interrupted cuts and harder ferrous materials with better heat resistance than standard M2 HSS tooling. The 4-flute geometry delivers smooth surface finishes while maintaining chip clearance in moderate feed-rate applications. At 1-1/8 inches in diameter with a 5/16 inches corner radius and a 3/4 inches shank, this tool seats securely in standard end mill holders and milling machine spindles. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the cutting edge sharp and is well suited to shops that re-sharpen tooling in-house.
This corner rounding end mill is used in machine shops, tool rooms, and maintenance departments for profiling edges on steel, cast iron, and other ferrous stock. Typical applications include breaking sharp corners on machined components, producing uniform radius blends between faces, and finishing edges on fixtures, dies, and structural parts. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional milling machine setups. Both CNC machining centers and manual knee mills can run this tool with appropriate spindle speed and feed selections for cobalt tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard replacement corner rounding end mill for use in conventional and CNC milling machines accepting a 3/4 inches shank end mill holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the set screw or collet is torqued to the machine manufacturer specification before running. Select spindle speeds and feed rates appropriate for M42 cobalt tooling and the workpiece material being cut.
