The VALUE COLLECTION 723-4562 is a single-end cobalt roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials with a 1-inch cutting diameter and a 3-inch length of cut. The bright, uncoated finish makes it easy to inspect for wear. With a 3/4-inch shank diameter and right-hand cutting and flute direction, this tool fits standard milling machine collets and tool holders. A licensed machinist or CNC operator would typically deploy this cutter for roughing passes where high material removal rate matters more than surface finish.
This roughing end mill is suited for manual knee mills and CNC machining centers in job shop, maintenance, and production environments. The high-helix, right-hand configuration promotes chip evacuation during deep axial cuts in steel, stainless, and similar alloys. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, giving the operator flexibility in toolpath programming or manual operation. It is a single-end tool, so it is replaced when the cutting end is spent.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use roughing end mill for milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter collet or tool holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or unloading the tool. Secure the shank to the full engagement depth recommended by the tool holder manufacturer. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating before initiating a cut.
