The VALUE COLLECTION 723-4344 is a cobalt double-end square end mill designed for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat resistance and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. The tool measures 0.125 inches in cutting diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut, a 0.1875-inch shank diameter, and a 3.125-inch overall length. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and a smooth cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable for general-purpose machining where coatings are not required. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this end mill for slotting, profiling, and side milling in manual and CNC setups.
This end mill is suited for light milling work in ferrous metals, alloys, and some non-ferrous materials in both manual mill and CNC machining center applications. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life before disposal. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cutting directly into the workpiece without a pilot hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match standard spindle rotation on most vertical mills and machining centers. The long-length designation accommodates applications requiring extended reach in pockets or deep-walled features.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or general-purpose cutting tool for use in standard vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before tightening. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before starting the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and never run a damaged tool.
