The VALUE COLLECTION 723-3932 is a cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this single-end tool offers greater heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS end mills. The 1.375-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 2-inch length of cut and a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix, producing efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting geometry across a wide range of milling applications. Six flutes deliver a higher feed-per-tooth capability and a finer surface finish, making this tool suitable for finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel, stainless, and cast iron.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling. The bright uncoated finish and centercutting geometry allow plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling cuts. The regular-length configuration and 0.75-inch shank diameter fit standard R8, CAT, BT, and other common tool holders found in job shop and production environments. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on steel components and mold work will find this tool well-suited to demanding material removal tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter end mill in standard tool holders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine isolated from power. The shank should be cleaned and inspected before seating in the tool holder, and the set screw or collet should be torqued per the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning a cut. Always follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine guarding requirements when operating milling equipment.
