Built from M42 cobalt steel, this single-end stub-length tool features a 3/16 inch cutting diameter, a 9/32 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix. The bright/uncoated finish keeps tool preparation straightforward. With three flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and harder workpiece materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual mills or CNC machining centers will recognize this as a standard fractional-inch stub end mill.
This end mill is intended for use in metalworking applications where a compact stub-length profile provides added rigidity in tight setups or shallow-depth work. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders common on knee mills and VMCs.
