The VALUE COLLECTION 723-1660 is a double-end cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The tool measures 1/8 inch in diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 3-1/8 inch overall length. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it carries a bright uncoated finish and a 30-degree helix angle. With 2 spiral flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, it suits standard vertical and horizontal milling machine setups. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals install and operate this end mill.
This end mill is suited for long-reach milling applications on ferrous workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, extending service life between tool changes. The 1/8 inch shank diameter of 3/16 inches fits standard collets and tool holders on CNC and manual milling equipment. It is classified under the long length series, making it appropriate for slot milling, profiling, and pocket work where additional reach is required beyond standard-length tooling.
Designed for use with standard collets and tool holders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with milling machine setup and tooling practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing or adjusting end mills. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the machine manufacturer specification. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
