The VALUE COLLECTION 723-1435 is a single-end ball end mill designed for milling contoured surfaces, pockets, and three-dimensional profiles in metalworking applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers hardness and heat resistance suitable for machining alloy steels, stainless steel, and other tough ferrous materials. The 1-inch diameter cutter features a 2-flute spiral geometry with a right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction. Overall length is 4.75 inches with a 2.25-inch length of cut, giving machinists enough reach for moderate-depth passes without sacrificing rigidity. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose use where a specialized coating is not required. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers typically specify this tool for finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This ball end mill fits standard vertical and CNC milling machines using a 1-inch straight shank. It is suited for job shop and production environments handling ferrous metals, including alloy steel and hardened tool steel at moderate hardness levels. The 2-flute configuration provides efficient chip evacuation in slotting and contouring cuts where chip load per tooth must be managed carefully. The standard-length profile makes it a reliable general-purpose option for die and mold work, fixture machining, and prototype part production.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement ball end mill for vertical mills and CNC machining centers equipped with 1-inch end mill holders or collet chucks accepting a 1-inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully into a clean, properly torqued end mill holder or collet to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the shank and holder bore for chips or damage before seating. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling, in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout standards.
