The VALUE COLLECTION 722-1111 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling flat surfaces, slots, and shoulders in metal workpieces. It is manufactured from M2 high speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating to extend tool life and reduce friction during cutting. The cutter measures 1.125 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut, providing a solid depth range for general-purpose profiling and slotting operations. With two right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it is suited to applications where chip clearance and surface finish are priorities. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of end mill in vertical and horizontal milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is configured for fractional-inch tooling setups. The 0.750-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders common in job shops and production environments. The regular-length body and 3.875-inch overall length make it appropriate for conventional reach applications where extended-reach tooling is not required. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into a workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional and climb milling in steel, aluminum, and similar machinable alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for fractional-inch collet systems and end mill holders accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter in vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and confirm runout with a dial indicator when tight tolerances are required.
