The VALUE COLLECTION 722-1101 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal and alloy materials. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers solid wear resistance and heat tolerance across a wide range of cutting applications. The tool features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 0.625 inch shank diameter, with a 3.625 inch overall length. The 2-flute spiral geometry and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation and clean cutting performance in both slotting and peripheral milling work. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tooling.
This end mill is suited for use in manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and bridgeport-style machines running ferrous and non-ferrous stock. The centercutting design allows plunge entry in addition to standard side and slot milling, making it versatile for pocketing operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard setup for conventional milling spindles. It is sized as a regular-length tool, appropriate for setups where extended reach is not required and rigidity is a priority.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch single-end square end mill compatible with milling machines and machining centers accepting a 0.625 inch round shank with conventional right-hand rotation spindles.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with proper tool holding and speeds-and-feeds selection. Secure the shank fully in an appropriate collet, end mill holder, or set-screw holder before operation, and verify runout before cutting. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for appropriate cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cut for the workpiece material.
