The VALUE COLLECTION 722-1077 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from M2 high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS. The cutter measures 13/16 inches (0.8125 inches) in diameter with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 3-5/16 inch overall length. Two spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting geometry allows both plunge and peripheral cutting operations. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on manual or CNC milling machines.
This end mill suits a wide range of metalworking tasks including slotting, profiling, and pocketing in mild steel, alloy steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The regular-length configuration fits standard milling setups without requiring extended reach. The 1/2 inch shank diameter is compatible with common collet chucks and end mill holders found on Bridgeport-style knee mills and CNC machining centers. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match the standard spindle rotation of most vertical milling machines.
Designed for use in 1/2 inch collet chucks or end mill holders on vertical milling machines, knee mills, and CNC machining centers accepting standard fractional-inch shank tooling.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine powered down or in an e-stop state. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or holder per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material.
