The VALUE COLLECTION 720-8120 is a single-end, 4-flute square end mill designed for milling operations requiring precise flat-bottom cuts, shoulders, and slots. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it measures 12 mm (0.4724 inches) in cutting diameter with a 1-inch length of cut and a 2.6875-inch overall length. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual or CNC milling machines.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and similar machinable materials in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard R8, ER, or Weldon-style collet and chuck systems commonly found on knee mills and vertical machining centers. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where coated tooling is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for manual and CNC vertical milling machines accepting a 3/8-inch shank. Part of the VCCC-HSS-4 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder torque requirements and runout inspection procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or chuck to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
