The VALUE COLLECTION 720-8090 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable cutting performance in a wide range of shop and field machining applications. The tool measures 0.3543 inches (9.00 mm) in cutting diameter, carries four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle, and runs with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. This end mill is installed and used by machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance mechanics working on manual or CNC milling machines.
Suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and pocket operations on a bench mill, knee mill, or CNC machining center. The 0.3543-inch diameter targets work requiring metric-equivalent sizing at 9.00 mm. With a 3/8-inch shank, it seats in standard collets or end mill holders commonly found in job shops and maintenance departments. The 3/4-inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes, and the 2-1/2-inch overall length keeps the tool rigid during operation. No coolant-through capability; external flood or mist coolant is the appropriate delivery method for this tool.
Designed for use in any milling machine spindle accepting a 3/8-inch shank end mill holder or collet, including manual knee mills and CNC machining centers. Part of the VCCC-HSS-4 series of high speed steel end mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or qualified machine operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool in the holder or collet. Ensure the shank is clean and fully engaged to the minimum recommended grip depth before tightening. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the material being machined, as HSS tooling is more susceptible to breakage under excessive load than carbide alternatives.
