The VALUE COLLECTION 720-4328 is a double-end, 4-flute square end mill manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It has a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch) cutting diameter and a 13/32 inch (0.4063 inch) length of cut, making it suited to light-duty profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling in a wide range of common ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provides efficient chip evacuation, while the center-cutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into a workpiece. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC mills, knee mills, or manual milling machines will find this a dependable general-purpose cutter for everyday production and maintenance tasks.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations in job shop, maintenance, and production environments where a compact, small-diameter cutter is required. The double-end design delivers two usable cutting ends, extending service life between tool changes. The regular-length body and 3/16 inch shank diameter are compatible with standard collet systems and end mill holders commonly used in light-duty vertical machining setups. It is well suited to milling aluminum, mild steel, brass, and similar materials at moderate cutting parameters.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or working-stock square end mill for standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter in vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank, and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine or toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish. Cutting parameters including speed, feed, and depth of cut should be selected based on workpiece material and machine rigidity.
