The VALUE COLLECTION 720-4302 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in machining centers and manual mills. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it measures 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) in cutting diameter with a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) length of cut and a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) shank diameter. The 2-inch overall length and stub-length classification make it well suited for close-tolerance work where rigidity and minimal deflection are priorities. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation during conventional and climb milling operations.
This end mill is intended for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where small-diameter milling, slotting, and profiling are common. The double-end configuration extends tool life by offering a second usable cutting end, reducing per-cut tooling cost. Its center-cutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, supporting helical interpolation and ramping entry paths on CNC equipment. It is sized for applications requiring fine detail work at small scales, such as mold work, fixture fabrication, and precision part profiling.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tool-room technician. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing or inspecting tooling. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for M2 high speed steel at the given diameter, and apply appropriate cutting fluid to extend tool life and manage heat.
