The VALUE COLLECTION 720-4116 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for milling flat surfaces, slots, and shoulders in a wide range of metalworking applications. Constructed from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it offers reliable performance in general-purpose cutting operations. The tool measures 3/4 inches in diameter with a 1-5/8 inches length of cut and a 5-5/8 inches overall length. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The 3/4 inches shank diameter provides solid tool holding in standard milling chucks and collets. This end mill is sized and configured for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual or CNC milling machines.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where fractional-inch tooling is standard. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional milling setups. It is appropriate for milling operations in steel, aluminum, brass, and similar materials within the performance range of M2 high speed steel. The bright/uncoated finish is well suited for general-purpose work where coated tooling is not required.
Designed as a general-purpose fractional-inch square end mill compatible with standard milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills that accept a 3/4 inches shank diameter toolholder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling professional. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool holder or collet is clean and free of debris before securing the shank. Verify that runout is within acceptable limits using a dial indicator after tool installation. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements during setup and operation.
