Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it carries a 1.5-inch cutting diameter, a 6-inch length of cut, and a 1.25-inch Weldon flat shank. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting. At 8.5 inches overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach operations where a standard-length end mill cannot reach. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users.

Installation Notes

Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Because this end mill is not center-cutting, plunge entry into solid material is not recommended; use a pre-drilled hole or ramp entry instead.
