The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3535 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for milling operations on machining centers and manual mills. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it is suited for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials where carbide tooling is not required. The cutter measures 1.75 inches in diameter with a 4-inch length of cut, a 1.25-inch shank diameter, and a 6.5-inch overall length. Six spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation and a smooth cutting action. This is a long-series tool intended for applications that require extended reach beyond standard-length end mills.
This end mill is used in general-purpose milling applications including slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. The long series length type makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling and applications where a standard-reach tool cannot access the full depth of cut. It is typically installed and operated by machinists in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
Designed for use in standard milling machine and CNC machining center spindles accepting a 1.25-inch straight shank. Suitable as a general-purpose long-series square end mill in tool rooms and production shops requiring extended reach milling capability.
This end mill is installed and changed out by machinists; ensure the spindle is fully powered down and at a complete stop before tool changes. Secure the 1.25-inch shank firmly in a properly sized end mill holder, collet chuck, or milling chuck to minimize runout. Because this is a non-centercutting tool, do not program direct axial plunge moves — use ramping or helical entry toolpaths instead. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against published HSS cutting data for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut.
