The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3313 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features four spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation and a smooth cutting action. The 3/4-inch diameter matches the 3/4-inch straight shank, making setup straightforward in standard ER collets or side-lock holders. With a 3-inch length of cut and a 5-1/4-inch overall length, this long-series tool reaches deeper pockets and steps than standard-length equivalents. Machinists and toolroom operators install this type of end mill in vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills.
This end mill is suited for peripheral milling, slotting, profiling, and plunge operations in job shop and production environments. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into a workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration are standard for conventional and climb milling on most manual and CNC platforms. It is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for toolroom maintenance, prototype work, and production runs where HSS tooling is specified over carbide.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard toolroom end mill for any machine spindle accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank, including ER32 and ER40 collet systems, Weldon side-lock holders, and hydraulic chucks configured for 3/4-inch tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm concentricity within acceptable tolerance for the operation. Follow the machine manufacturer and applicable shop safety guidelines for cutting speeds, feed rates, and coolant application when using HSS end mills.
