The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3119 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling flat surfaces, shoulders, slots, and pockets in metalworking applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool offers reliable cutting performance in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 6-flute configuration increases the number of cutting edges in contact with the workpiece, supporting smoother finishes and higher feed rates compared to lower flute-count tools. With a 1.25-inch mill diameter and 2-inch length of cut, it handles moderate-depth milling passes in standard machining setups. Installation and use are straightforward for machinists operating manual or CNC knee mills and vertical machining centers.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments. The 0.75-inch shank diameter fits standard R8, CAT, BT, and HSK toolholders with a matching bore. The 30-degree right-hand spiral helix and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with conventional milling operations. It is a non-centercutting tool, so plunge milling is not recommended. The regular-length body and 4.25-inch overall length provide adequate rigidity for most standard-reach applications without extended-reach holders.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for use in standard toolholders accepting a 0.75-inch shank diameter, including R8, CAT, BT, and HSK-style holders used on vertical milling machines and machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Secure the shank to the manufacturer-specified clamping torque for the toolholder in use. Because this tool is non-centercutting, always enter the workpiece from the edge or use a pre-drilled hole — do not plunge directly into solid material.
