The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3065 is a 4-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and manufacturing environments. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool handles a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials at moderate cutting speeds. The 0.75 inch mill diameter paired with a 1.625 inch length of cut gives machinists solid material removal capability in a regular-length format. The 0.5 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders found on vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers. This is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on manual mills and CNC equipment. The 30-degree helix promotes smooth chip evacuation during cuts in steel, aluminum, brass, and similar materials. At 3.625 inches overall length, it fits most standard tool holders without excessive overhang. The non-center-cutting design means it requires a pre-drilled hole or ramp entry when plunging. Machinists in job shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments will find this a practical general-purpose option for everyday milling work.
Designed for use with standard 0.5 inch collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers that accept straight-shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended for the holder style, and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder specification. This is a non-center-cutting end mill and must not be used for direct plunge entry without a pilot hole or ramping toolpath. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate against published HSS cutting data for the workpiece material before initiating a cut.
