The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3021 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for milling, slotting, and profiling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutter measures 0.2656 inches (17/64 inch) in diameter with a 5/8-inch length of cut and a 3/8-inch shank diameter. Overall length is 2.5 inches. Constructed from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool is suited for general-purpose machining where carbide is not required. It features a 4-flute, spiral configuration with a 30-degree right-hand helix and right-hand cut direction. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of end mill for conventional milling on manual knee mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill fits standard applications in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments where regular-length HSS tooling is appropriate. The 3/8-inch straight shank seats in standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, or milling machine collets of matching bore. The regular-length geometry keeps tool deflection manageable in shallow-to-moderate depth cuts. It is a single-end tool, meaning it is used from one end only and is not reversible.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose end mill for use in any milling machine or machining center equipped with a 3/8-inch collet, end mill holder, or compatible toolholder. No specific machine model compatibility is stated by the manufacturer for this part number.
End mills must be installed by qualified machinists familiar with milling machine operation and toolholder torque procedures. Always de-energize and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the toolholder is properly secured before initiating any cut. Do not exceed the recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate for M2 HSS tooling in the material being machined — consult published speeds-and-feeds references for the specific workpiece material.
