The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3013 is a single-end, 4-flute square end mill manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It has a 13/64-inch (0.2031 inch) cutting diameter and a 1/2-inch length of cut, making it suited for general-purpose peripheral and slot milling operations in a machine shop environment. The right-hand cutting direction and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation during standard milling passes. At 2-3/8 inches overall length and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, this tool fits conventional milling machines and machining centers. Machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is designed for regular-length milling applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a bright, uncoated M2 HSS tool is appropriate. The 4-flute configuration provides good surface finish and is well suited for finishing passes and medium-duty slotting. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in knee mills, vertical machining centers, and manual bridgeport-style machines. Note that this tool is not centercutting, so it is not designed for direct plunge entry into solid material.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch shank end mill compatible with 3/8-inch collets and end mill holders used in conventional and CNC vertical milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at rest before loading or unloading the tool. Secure the 3/8-inch shank firmly in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the torque specifications recommended by the holder manufacturer. Because this tool is not centercutting, avoid direct plunge cuts into solid material — use a ramping or helical entry strategy when drilling into a workpiece surface is required.
