The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1650 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 3/16-inch cutting diameter, a 1/2-inch length of cut, and a 2-flute spiral flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. At 2-1/4 inches overall length with a 3/16-inch shank diameter, this tool fits standard collets and tool holders in that size range. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for light to medium milling work on ferrous materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, as well as high-temperature alloys. The double-end configuration extends usable tool life by providing two cutting ends per shank. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional milling setups on manual mills and CNC machining centers. Regular-length geometry makes it appropriate for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and side milling where extended reach is not required.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for manual mills and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut according to the machine or toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before taking the first cut. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
