The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1243 is a single-end, two-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and production environments. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, this tool delivers reliable cutting performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. It carries a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 3-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The shank diameter matches the mill diameter at 3/4 inch, making it straightforward to chuck in standard end mill holders or collet chucks. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop, maintenance, and manufacturing settings.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional milling setups on vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual knee mills. The 5-3/4 inch overall length provides adequate reach for deeper workpiece features while staying within the regular-length category. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard 3/4 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling arbors used on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. Suitable for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous alloys.
This tool is installed by machinists using a torque wrench and appropriate end mill holder or collet to the machine spindle. Always ensure the machine is powered off and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool to avoid premature tool wear or poor surface finish. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when setting speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
