The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1183 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal fabrication, tool and die work, and machining environments. Constructed from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, this end mill features a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) mill diameter and a 1-3/8 inch (1.3750 inch) length of cut. The two-flute configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and is well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a wide range of workpiece materials. At 4-5/8 inches overall length with a matching 5/8 inch shank diameter, it mounts directly into standard collets and end mill holders. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC or manual mill operators working in production and job shop settings.
This end mill is appropriate for use in vertical and horizontal milling machines, manual knee mills, and CNC machining centers where a fractional-inch, regular-length square end mill is required. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes smooth cutting action and positive chip flow. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional milling setups. Extended reach geometry and a 2-3/4 inch reach length allow access to deeper features without requiring a longer specialty tool.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch regular-length square end mill compatible with any milling machine or machining center that accepts a 5/8 inch shank end mill via collet, end mill holder, or Weldon-style holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or mill operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout before cutting. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for M2 high speed steel end mills based on workpiece material and cut depth.
