The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1123 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and production environments. It is manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish and features a 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. The cutting diameter is 1.25 inches, the length of cut is 1.625 inches, and the overall length is 4.125 inches. The 1-inch straight shank fits standard milling machine and CNC spindle toolholders. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and manufacturing settings.
The 720-1123 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials at moderate cutting parameters. The 2-flute design provides good chip clearance, making it a practical choice for slotting and pocketing operations where chip evacuation is a priority. The regular-length body keeps the tool rigid during cuts, reducing deflection on standard-depth features. It is appropriate for use on manual knee mills, CNC vertical machining centers, and similar equipment where a 1-inch shank diameter is the specified toolholder bore.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet or side-lock set screw torque meets the toolholder manufacturer spec before initiating a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use; a damaged edge on an HSS end mill should not be run.
