The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1085 is a 2-flute, single-end square end mill machined from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish. It carries a 7/8-inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 3/4-inch straight shank, with an overall length of 3-3/4 inches. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during milling operations. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece. This end mill is suited for general-purpose material removal, profiling, slotting, and face milling on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary users.
This end mill is designed for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials, making it a versatile choice for job shops and production environments. The 2-flute configuration provides adequate chip clearance when working with softer or gummier materials such as aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, while still performing competently on ferrous materials at appropriate feeds and speeds. The regular-length body keeps deflection manageable in standard-depth setups where extended reach is not required.
Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 3/4-inch straight shank for use in collet chucks, end mill holders, and similar toolholding systems on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, and never run this tool without confirmed spindle alignment and workholding security. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
