The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1059 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for material removal and profiling operations on a milling machine or machining center. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 0.6875-inch cutting diameter, a 1.3125-inch length of cut, and a 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry with 2 flutes. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. At 3.4375 inches overall length with a 0.625-inch shank diameter, it fits standard collets and end mill holders sized for 5/8-inch shanks. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople are the primary users of this tooling.
This end mill is suited for peripheral milling, slotting, and light profiling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional and climb milling on vertical knee mills and CNC machining centers alike. The regular-length body keeps the tool rigid and reduces deflection in shorter reach applications. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery and does not feature a chipbreaker or variable helix.
Designed for use in any milling machine or machining center equipped with a 5/8-inch collet or end mill holder. Compatible with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials as indicated by workpiece material codes P, M, K, and N.
Installation and use of this tooling should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the workpiece material. Secure the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Ensure the spindle is at a complete stop and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the tool if damage is observed.
