The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1021 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shop and production environments. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter and a 2-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard setup for conventional milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers. With a 9/16 inch length of cut and 3/8 inch shank diameter, this tool fits a broad range of standard collets and end mill holders. Machinists and tool and die technicians are the primary users of this cutter.
This end mill is suited for light to medium material removal on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, making it practical for slot milling, pocket milling, and profile work. The regular-length body keeps deflection manageable in typical benchtop and CNC milling setups. It is sold as a single unit and is a fractional-inch series tool, compatible with standard inch-dimension toolholding systems.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. The 3/8 inch shank fits standard inch-dimension collet chucks and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC routers equipped for that shank size.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using an appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for a 3/8 inch shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before inserting or removing the cutter. Verify cutter runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm proper grip and minimize tool wear. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material being cut.
